Asphalt Compaction Solutions
Paving Solutions BrochureThe asphalt compactor is the last machine to pass over your paving project, and mistakes during this phase can be very costly to fix. You can significantly reduce the need for rework by installing Trimble Compaction Control Systems on your asphalt compactors.
Trimble Compaction Control Systems eliminate much of that guess work from asphalt paving operations and helps achieve more consistent compaction to target design density over the entire material layer. You will also be able to roll a more efficient pattern, increase productivity, and save fuel.
Designed for use on any size asphalt compactor from any manufacturer, Trimble Compaction Control Systems can be installed on any compactor in your fleet.
CCS900 Compaction Control System for Asphalt Compactors
The Trimble CCS900 Compaction Control System helps you accurately control the compaction process, while reducing unnecessary passes that result in over compaction.
The system achieves target compaction faster, more accurately, with less rework. The early detection of unsuitable materials and hidden obstructions can be excavated and re-graded or compacted prior to more costly phases of the construction process. Compaction results are recorded and stored for analysis and generation of documentation deliverables at the end of the project.
The Trimble CCS900 Compaction Control System is fully upgradeable and can be installed on any asphalt compactor. Click here to contact us for more information.
CCSFlex Compaction Control System for Asphalt Compactors
The Trimble® CCSFlex™ “in a case” system provides pass count mapping for asphalt compactors. Select the low cost “system in a case” solution and add sensors for increased system capabilities as needs change. CCSFlex is easy-to-use as you can operate without a GPS base station and without designs. The system is installed as an aftermarket system, retrofitted onto any asphalt compactor with open or enclosed cab. Add-on options for temperature mapping and higher accuracy positioning are available.
The CCSFlex pass count functionality increases efficiency and improves the quality of the mat and helps achieve more consistent compaction to target design density over the entire material layer. Click here to contact us for more information.
CCS900 & CCSFlex Components
Trimble CB450 and CB460 Control Box (CCS900 & CCSFlex) – The 7 inch (18 cm) CB460 Control Box is the premium display for the CCS900 system. The CB450 Control Box offers a smaller 4.3 inch (10 cm) display and is priced for maximum return on investment. Click here to contact us for more information.
MS972 GNSS smart antenna (CCS900 & CCSFlex) – The Trimble MS972 Smart GNSS Antenna measures the position of the compactor using a base station or satellite delivered correction sources such as SBAS. Click here to contact us for more information.
IS310 Infrared Temperature Sensors (CCS900 & CCSFlex) – IS310 Infrared Temperature Sensors are installed on the front and rear drum to measure surface temperature of the mat in the direction of operation. Click here to contact us for more information.
System Cables & Mounts (CCS900 & CCSFlex) – The system cables are used to connect the GPS receiver to the in-cab control box. Installation is easy, requiring no drilling or welding. Click here to contact us for more information.
Reporting and Documentation (CCS900 & CCSFlex) – In-field reporting and an in-cab printer allow on-site supervisors and quality managers to monitor compaction operations and correct possible issues immediately. Compaction data logs can be wirelessly transferred from the machine to the office for analysis using the web-based VisionLink™ fleet, asset and productivity management solution from Trimble. Click here to contact us for more information.
Portable System In A Case (CCSFlex) – The CCSFlex “in a case” system is easy to install by the contractor in a couple of hours. This easy portability makes the system an ideal solution if you employ rented compactors or you want to move the system between compactors in your fleet. It can be installed on any asphalt compactor with open or enclosed cab. Click here to contact us for more information.
Add-On Options (CCSFlex) – Add-on options allow you to increase the functionality and accuracy of the system, as the need arises. System accuracy can be increased to 1 cm (0.03 foot) by adding options to the GNSS receiver. Click here to contact us for more information.
