Grade Lasers
SITECH Allegheny offers several laser grade systems developed by both Trimble and Caterpillar® for achieving incredible precision in a range of civil construction applications. These devices are compatible with machines ranging from compact construction equipment to heavy-duty machines, including motor graders, excavators, scrapers and road pavers.
Laser grade control systems offer significant advantages and are made as tough as the equipment they enhance. From excavating the foundation for a structure to placing the final surface on the road, these innovative technologies deliver benefits like:
- Faster completion: These systems eliminate guesswork, feeding real-time data to the operator for incredible precision in achieving the proper depth, angle and more.
- Increased productivity: A control box keeps accurate track of grade angle, eliminating the downtime and extra personnel needed for manual grade checks.
- Improved accuracy: Jobs are completed with higher precision the first time using a grading system with laser, which reduces the likelihood of project rework requirements.
Laser Grade Systems From Trimble and Caterpillar
As the regional solutions provider for Caterpillar machines and Trimble technology, SITECH Allegheny has several 2D and 3D laser grade systems that you can select from to match your demands. The right solution for your project needs depends on the job and your operating budget, equipment and preferences. Options include:
- Cat® AccuGrade™: Most newer Cat machines are already equipped for use with this technology, a system developed by Caterpillar for use with construction, excavation and paving vehicles within their fleet. AccuGrade uses lasers to determine the machine and tool position and sends real-time data to the cab for instant adjustments. Different configurations are available and should be chosen based on project goals and the equipment you want to enhance.
- Trimble GCSFlex™: Trimble GCSFlex laser grade control systems are cost-effective solutions for digging faster and with more accuracy. These systems are portable and tough enough for use in the cab working small to mid-size excavation projects. GCSFlex controls are intelligent and easy to learn, improving efficiency with instant access to tool position and angle on a full-color display. This technology is upgradeable to the GCS900 system too, which will keep your investment intact while improving your capabilities.
- GCS900 Grade Control: From mass excavation to digging a precise footer, the GCS900 Grade Control System gives operators incredible control over grading operations. This system is compatible with compact machines and heavy equipment for accuracy within a few millimeters. The 2D models are suited for site preparation and finish grading, using sensors and laser catchers to achieve smooth grades. Upgrade to the 3D system for precision excavation and grading control for projects ranging from bulk removal to the final grade.
Increase Productivity With Laser Grade Systems
Using machinery equipped with a grade laser, you can gain precision accuracy for excavation and grading projects of any size. At SITECH Allegheny, we match people with the right technology to help them increase efficiency, improve accuracy, reduce downtime, lower costs and more.
